Dr. George Onyejekwe is a Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons (FWACS) and holds a Master of Science degree with Distinction from the Department of Academic Plastic Surgery, Queen Mary University of London. He practises at Abuja Plastics, with clinical locations in Lagos and Abuja, Nigeria.

During the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, he founded the Plastic Surgery Flashcards page on Instagram, which rapidly drew the attention of residents and consultants worldwide. PlasticsFlashcards is the completion of that vision.

After completing a rigorous seven-year residency programme at the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi, Lagos, he undertook an Advanced Aesthetic Fellowship at the Georgia Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Centre in Atlanta, Georgia, with additional visits to the Emory Aesthetic Center and the Children’s Hospital of Orange County.

In 2024, Dr. Onyejekwe received the SESPRS International Traveling Award to attend the 39th Atlanta Breast Surgery Symposium — reserved for outstanding young international surgeons with a demonstrated interest in breast surgery.

PlasticsFlashcards brings world-class surgical knowledge to any surgeon, anywhere — from Washington to Windhoek, from London to Lagos.

His clinical interests span body contouring, aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery, burns and scar management, and the integration of innovation in plastic surgery practice. He remains grateful to his international mentors: Dr. Stanley Okoro, Dr. Albert Losken, and Dr. Amber Leis.

“It is his hope that this gift to the plastic surgery community will be found useful.”
